Emma and John Collingwood, and their daughter, competitive swimmer Mari, head to their lake house on vacation. Soon after, Mari borrows the family car and heads to town to spend some time with her friend Paige. When Peggy works as a cash register at a local store, she and Mary meet Justin, a teenager walking through town, who invites them both back to his roadside motel room to smoke marijuana. . While the three were walking around the motel room, members of Justin’s family returned: Krug, Justin’s father; Francis, Justin’s uncle; and Sadie, Krug’s girlfriend.
Krug shows Justin a local newspaper with photos of Krug and Sadie on the front page, and which describes how Sadie and Francis pulled Krug out of police custody and killed the two officers who took him. Believing that it would be too risky to let Peggy and Mari go, the gang kidnaps them and uses their car to leave town. While Krug discovers the highway, Mari convinces him to take a road that leads to his parents’ lake house; Mari then tries to jump out of the vehicle, but a fight between the passengers causes the crew to crash into a tree. Frustrated by Mari’s attempt to escape, Sadie and Francis proceed to kill Mari and Paige as they crawl through the rubble. Krug forces Justin to touch Mari’s breasts to “be a man.” Tried to teach Paige starts insulting her to stop him; In response, Krug and Francis repeatedly stumble upon Paige, and Mari watches her friend die. Craig then raps Mari. When she is done, Mari has enough strength to escape the group and reach the lake so she can swim safely. While swimming, Krug shot him in the back, causing his body to float in the lake.
