Movie Plot: On the planet Korelia, orphans are created to steal children in order to survive. Young adults Han and Kiura run away from a local gang. They bribe an Imperial officer with stolen coaxial (a powerful hyperspace fuel) to route on an outgoing transport, but The Cura is caught before they can board. Han vows to return to her and joins the Imperial Navy as a flying cadet. When the recruiting officer asks for his surname, Han explains that he is single with a family, so the recruiter keeps his last name. “Solo” returns. Three years later, Han is expelled from the Imperial Flight Academy for expulsion and is serving as an infantryman on the dunes. He encounters a group of criminals posing as Imperial soldiers, led by Tobias Beckett. Han tries to blackmail them into taking them with him, but Beckett arrests him for heroism and throws him into the pit to feed a Wookiee named Chewbacca. Able to understand Chewaka’s language, Han persuades her to cooperate to escape. Beckett, who learns of the usefulness of a Wookiee’s strength, gangs up on Vendor-1 to steal a homocathemate and saves them. The plan is disastrous when the Cloud Riders, led by the Amphis Nest, come across a group of so-called terrorists, killing two crew members, including Beckett’s wife and the destruction of the crew.
