On the eve of D-Day, a paratrooper squad is sent to destroy a German radio tower in an old church. His plane was shot down and crashed, and most of the squad, including squad leader Sgt. Rensin is killed, either in an accident or by Nazi soldiers and landmines. Four remain: Corporal Ford and Privates Boyce, the second in Tibet and Chase Command.
The team moves on and meets Chloe, a young lady from the village where the church is located. She lets them take shelter in her house. Chloe lives with her 8-year-old brother, Paul, and his aunt, who have been disfigured by the Nazi experiments in the church. After departing to investigate Tibet and Chase’s scheduled rendezvous, a Nazi patrol led by the SS Hauptsturmführer Wefner visits Chloe. Wefner sends his men away and proceeds to force Chloe into sex, threatening to “fix” her brother in church. Boyce, being an idealistic new recruit, cannot ignore this and intercept a Nazi officer. Ford is forced to follow suit and control Wefner.
