Movie Plot: Upset over the death of his father in an auto accident, Cal Bracht attacks his Spanish teacher when the teacher reprimands his father. For the attack, he is sentenced to three months by a judge sympathetic to the ankle monitor and arrest with a proximity sensor. Detective Parker explains the system to Bud and his mother, Julie. Initially, the teen just plays video games and watches television, but he is soon separated from Julie and loses his access to the iTunes Music Store, Xbox Live, and his television.
Kel’s boredom leads him to visit the neighborhood, including two neighboring boys who play prax on him, his next-door neighbor Robert Turner, and Ashley Carlson, the new girl in town. One night, Cal becomes suspicious of Turner, who returns home in a 1960s Ford Mustang with a bold fender that closely matches the description given in a news report by a serial killer. Black’s best friend Ronnie comes to spy on Ashley, and when they accidentally alert him of their hijinks, the curious girl joins them in spying on Turner. Kel is picked up from a nightclub by a young woman, Turner, as she rushes away from home, but is later seen leaving her car.
