Dinosaurs ruled the Korean Peninsula 70 million years ago just as they ruled the rest of the Earth. At that time the part of the land now known as Jonnum Yeosu was the forest habitat of several dinosaur species: Tarbosaurus. The youngest in the family of tabosaurs, Spotty is an inquisitive and playful child. With his mother and siblings, he lives happily in the woods, patiently waiting to learn how to hunt. When that day comes, it marks the beginning of a long and painful journey into adulthood for Spotty. The cunning One-Eye, an old tyrannosaur looking for a new home, attacks Spotty’s flock one day and the smell of sure victory drives Spotty’s family away. Now on his own, he meets another lonely, lost tarbosaur. Blue Eyes becomes his constant companion for two decades and the mother of his children. But fate is fickle and with one eye Spotty’s troubles are not over, and revenge, death, fear and sadness lie in Spotty’s future – as is joy and hope.
